Since the beginning of civilization humans and animals alike have rightfully preferred to populate areas near water resources – lakes, ponds, rivers and of course the oceans and seas. Most of the famous ancient cities are situated on the waterfront. So are our most beautiful and scenic modern cities. Usually they blend old and new; castles and fortresses across the street from skyscrapers.
Water makes a great base for a panoramic view. The animals that reside in it, the foliage and the sunsets are all very popular themes in photography. The colors of the rivers, lakes and oceans vary so much, thus providing infinite photo opportunities.
Having taken innumerable panoramic shots, I realized that a picture becomes more interesting if you add some depth into it by including a nearby object to the vast scene ahead of you. In this post, you will see some examples of such pictures. I like them; they are less boring than plain scenes.
